PRICE INCLUDES: Third party insurance, unlimited kilometers, all legal taxes, additional driver, 24- hours road assistance, free transfers from/to Chania airport, Souda port and at any location of your choice within Chania , road maps and travel information, baby and child car seat, replacement of vehicle in the event of mechanical problem.

AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age is 24 years. Renters of 23 years of age or less are fully responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle.

DRIVERS LICENSE: The driver is required to have a valid drivers license that has been issued by a European Union country or a valid International Drivers License. A minimum of 12 months driving experience is required.

RENTAL PERIOD: Minimum rental period is 24 hours. Any hour(s) in excess of the contracted rental period will be charged on the basis of 1/5th of the 24 hour rental rate.

DEPOSITS: The agreed rental amount plus a 300 euros security deposit is payable at the time 0f delivery by cash or credit card. A final adjustment will be made upon completion of the rental period and return of the vehicle.

FINES OR PENALTIES: Any fines or penalties during the rental period shall be the responsibility of the driver.

FUEL COSTS: All fuel costs are the responsibility of the renter. If vehicle is not returned with the same level of fuel as when it was delivered to renter¸ a fuel charge equal to the difference will be added.

ONE WAY RENTAL: One way rentals (i.e. automobile returned to a location other than the original rental location) are subject to agreement and confirmation by AUTOSMART Car Rentals at the time of delivery.

TRANSPORTATION BY SEA: Any ship or ferry transportation of any vehicle must be with prior written approval of AUTOSMART Car Rentals.

BABY SEATS &NAVIGATION (GPS): Are available on request at the time of the booking.

INSURANCE POLICY BENEFITS

All AUTOSMART CAR RENTALS vehicles have insurance coverage for bodily injury, death and property damage to third parties, Legal coverage, accident from an uninsured vehicle and roadside assistance.
Third parties are defined as vehicle occupants with the exception of the driver.
The current deductible obligation of the renter is from 800 to 1500 Euros plus V.A.T, depending on the category of vehicle . Extra coverage is available at additional charge if requested prior to the commencement of the rental period, if the accepts the relevant conditions of this agreement pays an additional amount calculated on daily basis according to the lessors tariff.

INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING

Damage to the interior of the vehicle, the tires and/or the undercarriage, except if such damage results from an accident that is covered under the terms of the car rental agreement.

Damage resulting from an accident that is caused or contributed to in any way by the driver or any of his/her passengers being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as defined by the applicable legal statutes.

Damage resulting from an accident when the driver of the vehicle is not a designated driver with prior written authorization.

Damage or loss resulting from the renter not taking all reasonable precautions to properly park the vehicle in a legal parking space and secure the vehicle.

Damages caused as a result of the vehicle being driven on an unsafe roadway. For example, but not limited to, an unpaved road.
